Advice for parents with young students

Many American parents dream of sending their child to university. Some consider the significant financial burden this may impose and make the challenging decision to enroll their child in community colleges or affordable institutions. Others are willing to shoulder the cost by taking out substantial student loans.

However, there is a more advantageous approach. Prepare your child early by having them study German for several years, ideally starting no later than the 9th grade. The earlier your child begins learning German, the more proficient they will become by the time they are ready for college. Delaying this preparation will necessitate more summer trips to Germany for immersion courses. Nevertheless, this remains a more cost-effective option than paying for prestigious American colleges.

Why am I suggesting early German language learning? Because Germany offers FREE education to ALL students worldwide at its public universities! Germany boasts numerous top-tier public universities that are on par with most American institutions. The only prerequisite is achieving fluency at the C1 level in German. Therefore, the sooner your child starts learning German, the easier it will be for them to attain this level.
